Police believe a confrontation involving one vehicle mistakenly cutting off another led to an altercation on Friday that left two men dead in a shootout on a Davie roadway.
At a press conference Wednesday morning, Davie Police Sgt. Mark Leone identified the victims and detailed the incident that took place around 2 p.m. on Flamingo Road near Southwest 8th Street.
According to Leone, 41-year-old Keith Byrne was driving his white pickup truck when he told a person he was on the phone with that he thought he cut someone off and planned to apologize at the light.
