Paul Marinaccio has been doing paving work for the City of Buffalo for decades.
He said he and his crew with Accadia Site Contracting, Inc. have a great relationship with all the neighborhoods they work in, which is why what happened June 21 at the corner of Bailey and Arden Avenues was such a shock.
Employees of Accadia Site Contracting were finishing up their last street Thursday for a city job; they’d just successfully paved 20 other streets for the City of Buffalo.
As they were loading their equipment up, Marinaccio said a man walked up and threw a hard object, believed to be a rock, through one of his truck’s windows.
Marinaccio said his crew attempted to hold the the man down as they waited for police.
From there, several bystanders came by and according to Marinaccio, also assaulted his workers.
One of his workers had to go to the ER.
