A homeless man suspected of pummeling a stranger on her way to a West Village gym, knocking out her teeth, was nabbed Thursday morning — and linked to a similar attack in Midtown, police sources said.
Eugene Webb, 26, was picked up at Bellevue Hospital after police got a tip he was there.
He was charged with felony assault and harassment for allegedly beating the 23-year-old victim on W. Houston St. Wednesday morning, yelling incoherently as he knocked out two of her teeth and slammed her into the side of a yellow taxi, police said. Cops released surveillance images of Webb after Wednesday’s attack and asked the public’s help tracking him down..
It was no isolated incident, police said.
