UPDATE (11-26-18): The suspect in last night’s incident has been identified as 40-year-old Raymond Roberts.
According to his booking sheet at Volusia County Jail, he’s facing at least three counts of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by an in-state felon.
Roberts has been booked at VCJ 16 times since April 2004.
Florida Department of Corrections records show Roberts has served over three years in prison in two separate stints. He’s been convicted twice for selling cocaine and cocaine possession.
