As an undercover Fort Worth officer who was shot in the head early Friday by a suspected robber remained in critical condition, Fort Worth police released the name of the man suspected of shooting him. Dacion Steptoe was identified as the man killed on the scene by police, police Chief Joel Fitzgerald told reporters during a noontime press conference.

Three teens have been charged with murdering a professional mixed martial arts fighter who was gunned down during a Boca Raton, Florida, home invasion in early July, police said. Roberto Ortiz and Jace Swinton, both 18, were arrested Friday, Sept. 1, along with high school junior Summer Church, 16, for the death of Aaron Rajman, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

A few days ago, former police officer Jason Stockley, who is white, was acquitted of first-degree murder; he had fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith, who was black, in 2011. Protests started in St. Louis, where the shooting took place and Stockley was judged, immediately after the verdict was announced.

Police have arrested three suspects in connection to the disappearance and shooting of two men at a Moore grocery store. Moore police confirm three people, including a juvenile, believed to be the shooter, are now facing charges.
