PHOENIX — A 60-year-old man is in extremely critical condition after being beaten by three young men early Sunday morning.
Police say were called to the area of 15th Avenue and Buckeye Road around 5:30 a.m. to investigate an injured person call.
When officers arrived on scene they found the victim in the roadway with serious injuries to his head.
Surveillance video from a nearby home shows the vicious attack. Three men are seen surrounding the defenseless man and kicking him multiple times in the head. They even return multiple times to inflict more damage.
“I feel bad for him. That’s another human being,” said Tony Johnson, who lives just feet away from where the beating took place. “That’s sad. That could’ve been me. I’m 65 years old.”
