Muncie police arrest suspect in shooting that killed man, injured woman

MUNCIE, Ind. – Muncie police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another wounded.

According to the Muncie Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired around 4:45 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of West Howard Street.

Officers arrived and found a 19-year-old woman on the front porch suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital police described her condition as “stable.”

The officers then went upstairs and found a 29-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds. The coroner identified him as Troy Sandisar Jr.

Police arrested a suspect, identified as 42-year-old Tavis Corbin, on preliminary charges of murder and attempted murder.
