Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in downtown Louisville Thursday night outside Metro Hall, calling for justice in the Breonna Taylor case.

More are expected Friday night.

Thursday’s started out calm around 8 p.m., but when night fell, gun shots and tear gas filled the air.

After more than six hours of protests, police confirmed at least seven people were shot. Of those, two remain hospitalized in stable condition. Officials said none of those shots were fired by police.
